I promise, I'm not trying to drag anything in your journal; I just wanted to thank you for what you said in the wank. You said what I was trying to say, admittedly in much better terms, and still were attacked and insulted. After seeing that no matter who says what or what is said, the reactions are still the same, you convinced me that ignoring the barrage of comments and posts will eventually bring their end (still waiting on that, though). Thank you for bringing some sense, and hopefully closure, to this whole debacle. Maybe it doesn't mean anything coming from an oppressing, privileged dumbass, but I wanted you to get some acknowledgement that didn't involve calling you names.
Hey no problem. I completely understood what you were trying to tell them and people who don't want to hear something won't hear it. I'm used to that reaction and I'm fine with it. I'm a member of PFLAG and I deal with explaining why I believe in it or why someone should have the right to live their own life every day. They tried to make it sound as if I'm some ignorant, lazy, uneducated person who couldn't take the time to understand them and I'm far from it.
But, I'm over it. I can see when I'm fighting an impossible battle.
I think your idea was well-phrased and inoffensive and absolutely crystal clear, not to mention logical, and it really irritated me that it just went through this filter in their heads and became something they (wanted to) read as an attack. I'm sorry that you put the effort into trying to be reasonable and it was ignored in favor of deliberate misinterpretation and offense.
